BRISBANE Lions coach Leigh Matthews admits the build up to this week’s clash against the Western Bulldogs at the GABBA on Saturday night will be massive but says the game itself is more important.

Speaking from his weekly press conference in Brisbane, Matthews spoke about the build up for Jason Akermanis’ return to Brisbane, after his highly publicised departure at the end of last season.

“It will be a highly publicised week no doubt,” Matthews said. “But we have to concentrate on the game. Ultimately the game itself is what the footy department have to concentrate on.”
